Divisions, Rules & Requirements
GENERAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
CHEER TEAMS
- Teams must have at least 5 members and no more than 36.
- Total routine must be between 2 min and 2 min 30 seconds.
- We suggest “all music” routines.
DANCE TEAMS
- Teams must have at least 5 members. There is no maximum limit.
- Total routine may not exceed 2 min and 30 seconds.
- Participants may compete in more than one dance division as long as they abide by the age restrictions in all divisions in which they compete and register as a crossover.

CATEGORIES
Jazz
- A jazz routine incorporates stylized dance movements and combinations, formation changes, group work, leaps and turns.
- Emphasis is placed on proper technical execution, extension, control, body placement and team uniformity with incorporated visual effects.
Pom
- Pom routines should include 75% use of pom elements.
- Routines in all pom Divisions will be judged primarily on the use of pom elements. Important characteristics of a pomroutine include synchronization and visual effect, clean and precise motions, strong pom technique, and incorporate dance technical elements. Visual effect includes level changes, group work, formation changes, the use of different color poms, etc.Please note that pom is a style for All Star Challenge, not necessarily an apparatus.
Hip Hop
- Routines in all Hip Hop Divisions will be judged primarily on the use of funk hip-hop elements.
- Routines should feature street style movements with an emphasis on execution, style, creativity, body isolations and control, rhythm, ground work, uniformity and musical interpretation. Teams may also
Music Information
Each team must have their music on a CD to be played for the competition. We strongly recommend two CDs, one for back up. Please be sure they are not scratched. A representative from your team must know exactly when to start the music. This person is responsible for bringing the CD to the table when your team is called on deck.
Legality Issues
As a coach/director, it is important for you to be current on the USASF Safety Guidelines. If you have questions concerning any safety guidelines or questions regarding specific stunts, pyramids, and /or dance skills, please follow the guidelines below to ensure that you receive a timely and accurate response to your questions.
For partner stunt and/or pyramid approval, we ask that you video your stunt/and or pyramid and/or any other skill in question and send an email with the video clip to Mark Lyczkowski. Please ensure the clip contains the mounting and the dismounting of the partner stunt and/or pyramid and contains the skill in question from front and side view. Do not send the entire routine – only the skill(s) in question. Please send your inquiry at least two weeks prior to the event.
Official Championship Credentials
Each registered coach will receive official Championship credentials. The credentials will be picked up during check‐in. These credentials MUST be worn to gain entrance in and out of the Championship Venue including practice areas and Coaches Lounge
Registration
Registration for each competition will be held in the Coaches Hospitality Lounge at the competition site. The times will be sent to you in your final competition packet. Registration will be available on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Required Forms
Listed below are the required forms that must be filled out upon check‐in. Your team will not be allowed to compete if the forms are not completed in full.
- Team Eligibility Roster - This form must be signed and notarized by your gym owner. One form is required for each team competing.
- Code of Ethics - Must be signed. One form per program will be acceptable.
For any changes in your registrations, including the addition or reduction in numbers, please submit those changes using the change form to Kandy at the ALLSTAR CHALLENGE Office at Kandy@ALLSTARCHALLENGE.com.
Coaches’ Information Reception
There will be two coaches meetings at all events. Please check the Event Schedules for a list of scheduled Coaches’ Information Reception times at your event.
PLEASE plan to attend this meeting.
At the Event
Order of Performance
Teams will perform in a random order determined by the ALL‐LEVELS staff. We will do everything possible to accommodate teams with crossovers. ALL‐LEVELS can only guarantee 15 minutes between competition times. Accommodations for conflicting warm‐up times will be made if possible.
The General Performance Order will be available on our website at www.all‐levels.com approximately one week prior to the competition.
Pictures
Photos will be taken 10 minutes prior to warming up on the first day. You will want your team photo on your trophy, so please allow the few extra minutes this All‐Levels Competition exclusive takes.
Performance
Each team will perform on a 54’ x 42’ spring floor at all competitions. There are no out of bounds.
*IMPORTANT: Please be dressed and prepared to compete when you begin the warm up process.
Performance Times
Schedules for all teams competing will be posted AT LEAST one week prior to the event.
Cheer and Dance Safety Guidelines and Level Restrictions

There will be a Safety Judge viewing every routine. All decisions made by the Safety Judge will be final. PLEASE DO NOT ASK STAFF IN PRACTICE AREAS TO DECIDE IF A STUNT/PYRAMID/MOVE IS LEGAL. DVD's or VIDEOS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ANY RULE CLARIFICATION.

Score Sheets/Rankings
On the day of the competition, the score sheets will be available following the awards ceremony for the division.

The results of each event can be found on line at www.allstarchallenge.com within 48 hours of the completion of the last awards ceremony.
